Representation For Landlords
Shemesh Paralegal Services provides legal services for landlords as the owners of residential rental properties as well as for property managers as agent acting for the actual landlord. The services available may include document preparation involving the various Landlord Tenant Board forms, dispute resolution negotiations, representation as advocates at Landlord Tenant Board hearings, among other things. In short, Shemesh Paralegal Services provides legal help for many of the various dispute issues that may commonly, or uniquely, arise within a landlord and tenant relationship.
Representation For Tenants
To a tenant, your rental dwelling is 'your home'. Of course, 'home' means something unique to everyone and these special feelings are recognized. With this said, Shemesh Paralegal Services also recognizes that impartial empathy is often necessary to remain focused upon the legal issues and to remain an objective advisor and negotiator. Shemesh Paralegal Services helps tenants to resolve disputes by first reviewing the facts and issues and then by working to negotiate a resolution with the landlord. If resolution is evasive, Shemesh Paralegal Services can prepare the required Landlord Tenant Board forms and advocate at Landlord Tenant Board hearings.
Shemesh Paralegal Services offers representation services for Landlord and Tenant Board cases involving Eviction for Non-Payment of Rent, Eviction for Unlawful Conduct, among other things, as legal issues that fall within the purview of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, S.O. 2006, Chapter 17. Confusingly, where a dispute exists between residential landlords and former tenants, certain matters must still proceed within the Landlord Tenant Board while certain other matters must proceed in the Small Claims Court. In some situations, where multiple legal issues arise, there may be some issues that must proceed at the Landlord Tenant Board and other issues that must proceed in the Small Claims Court. Failure to bring issues into the proper forum can result in a dismissal of proceedings and possibly with a loss of the right to redo or restart proceedings within the correct forum. Other matters, such as commercial tenancy cases as are always outside the jurisdiction of the Landlord Tenant Board , these may be litigated in the Small Claims Court depending on the legal issues involved and whether the matter is for less than the $35,000 per Plaintiff limit.
Shemesh Paralegal Services provides affordable Landlord Tenant Board services for clients located in Toronto, York Region, Markham, Brampton, Concord, among other places!
